This is slightly off-topic, but I have to gush. Now that iTunes offers a podcast directory, it is even easier to download podcasts to your desktop (or iPod of course) and listen at your own convenience. Since I’ve lived and worked in Binghamton, I’ve mourned the absence–or ungodly hours–of some of my favorite NPR shows. Now I can listen to On the Media (7:00 a.m. Sundays–yeah right!) and Science Friday anytime–perfect accompaniments to filling out MetaLib IRD forms!
PublicRadioFan is a great site for finding NPR podcasts.
Thanks for the podcast suggestions. I’m going to check these shows out. I have to say that I am also enamored with the new podcast directory in itunes. So much easier to find and subscribe to podcasts.
May I recommend two podcasts?
*CBC Radio 3* is a podcast that showcases new independent Canadian music (no really, its good stuff – no fiddles) and *Quirks and Quarks* – a science show also hosted by the cbc. I have already petitioned the cbc to podcast more of their shows. The shows come in handy when you’re doing monotonous work such as checking irds. Just kidding – its fun work
